PAWS is a student organization that established from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2001 and was founded by Priyanka Johri.

Purpose: To help those who cannot help themselves; this organization gives students an avenue to help and protect animals.
Mission: To help pets and animals who are in serious need of care. These animals can be found at any humane shelter, and we are volunteering for the Humane Society of North Texas, Furry Friends Adoption Inc. and Pet Lovers' Rescue.
What PAWS Does: We volunteer to: play with animals; wash them; provide the them with our companionship; or to help out in any possible way. Our motivation comes from within our hearts to help the animals and pets who have been mistreated. We are striving to make a difference and stop animal cruelty. We do not want it to happen; however, it's sad but true. We want to keep our four-legged friends safe because animals have feelings too.
What You Can Do: You can join PAWS and get the feeling of gratification for what you do within the goup. These animals really need your support, and when they recieve it they show you how happy they are with their tongue hanging out and a flaunting tail!

President Laurie Girolamo	She is a marketing junior, and she has 5 pets: 4 cats - Honey, Mittens, Sylvester and Figero - and one dog - Rusty.	picture coming soon
Vice President Kelly Siegrist	She is a pre-vet junior and expects to graduate in '05. She has a variety of pets: a miniture doberman named Puck; three cats (Leo, Mini, Snowball); three turtles (Neon, Jr and Cooter; and some betas who remain nameless.
Secretary Angel Kubitza	She is a business marketing senior, and she hopes to graduate in Dec '04. She also has a "precious" dog named Beanie Weenie.
Treasurer Tim Schacherer	He is a mechanical engineering junior, and his graduation will be in May, 2005. He has one dog - a Black Lab named Sam, and Sam is very spoiled.	picture coming soon
Webmaster/Ad Designer Reagan Holmes	He is an advertising senior who plans on graduating sometime before 2010! He has two pets: a Cocker Spaniel named Piper and a True Fire Skink named Skink Two.
